System z Software Engineer
Location: Beijing and Shanghai
Are you looking for a job which will provide you an opportunity to pursue a long term career development in rapid changed IT industry?  Are you willing to work on such a computer system which is the major origin of all commercial data in the world and used by almost all the Fortune 100 companies?  Do you know that mainframe is modernizing and simplifying with modernized technology like mobile, analytic, cloud, big data, social, etc.?  Welcome to IBM China Systems Lab mainframe team which was founded in 2007 and had grown up with more than 200 people by now. We already have local experts on architecture, design, quality assurance, performance tuning and analysis, we also play very important role on the influence to mainframe customer on zCAMS solution and mainframe transformation.
 
We will provide training from basic mainframe knowledge to advanced CAMS technologies, the employee will not only grow up with the strongest mainframe skills in z/OS development life cycle, but also contribute to the transformation of mainframe with more solutions with zCAMS solutions from mainframe, you have chance to touch IBM products and latest solution for huge enterprise such as Citi Bank and many other top 500 enterprise in the world.
 
Requirements:
Here is a general description for z/OS soft engineering, we are expecting talents with more skills, but not all skills are mandatory required for all positions.
- Profound knowledge on operating system, like UNIX/Linux (required for all).
- Solid skills on at least one programming language like C/C++, or Assembler, or Java and JavaScripts/Dojo/JSP, Unix shell, COBOL,PLX,PL/I,Shell, XML, JCL REXX, B/390,SMP/E, etc. (required for all).
- Understanding on software development process and popular methodology, e.g. Agile (required for all).
- Development experiences on Linux/Unix; rich web or mobile application development experience.
- z/OS background is preferred, system programming skill is plus.
- Development experience on VM and I/O is plus.
- RFT(Rational Functional Tester) skill is a plus.
- Understanding on software development process and popular methodology, e.g. Agile.
- Build/packaging, or installation of software product is a plus.
- Lotus Notes, DB2, CICS or WebSphere is a plus.

Other Requirements: 
- Bachelor degree above, Master degree preferred, major in computer science, software engineering, or relative areas.
- Good team player and quick learner.
- Research skills is a plus.
- Creative thinking and problem solving skills are strongly preferred.
- Excellent oral and written skills in English.
