The Software Engineer will work with the Software team to develop and maintain life-science imaging platforms. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who has strong C#/C++ development skills and experience designing Windows based instrumentation systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Document requirements and design specifications as well as verification plans and test cases

2. Participate in code, design and architectural reviews

3. Perform coding and unit tests of requirements as they are defined

4. Device driver design and implementation

5. Software testing and assisting with validation of system design

6. Assist with project planning, estimation and tracking

7. Software installation, configuration and upgrading

8. Report development status to supervisor on a regular basis

9. Maintain an orderly laboratory notebook and design history file

10. Assist both the service and manufacturing departments in troubleshooting technical
problems with software. This includes training of personnel

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Minimum of a BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required

2. At least 3+ years of proven experience in commercial software design, development, and implementation

3. Must be fluent programming in C and/or C++, and have a solid command of object oriented design principles

4. Must have experience with hardware communication protocols and APIs

5. Experience with WPF is a plus

6. In-depth knowledge of building software on Windows Win7/Win8

7. Must have excellent verbal, written and listening skills.
