Cisco CSG-IOT Introduction:
Cisco Core Software Group Internet ofThings Engineering China team is looking for a Software Engineer to help buildan RF and PLC-based mesh network platform for connecting millions of smartdevices including electric/gas meters, grid sensors/controllers, distributionautomation devices, home appliance and gadgets, edge routers, etc. The platformis based on the latest open standards from IETF and IEEE to enable end-to-endIP connectivity to every device.
Role & Responsibilities
* Development of embedded softwarefor Cisco's IoT solutions.
* System testing and performancebenchmarking
Minimum Qualifications
* Strong background in ElectronicEngineering or computer science,
* Proficient in C language onembedded system
* Experiences with softwaredevelopment in resource and power constrained micro-controller environments
* Experiences with mesh network and /or sensor network
* Good understanding of internetprotocols (IPv4/IPv6/TCP/UDP/DHCPv6)
* Excellent written & oralcommunication skills (English & Chinese)
* Team player, eager to learn on thejob
Desired Skills
* Familiarity with ARM Cortex M3 andIAR Embedded Workbench is a plus
* Familiarity with IEEE802.15.4radios and / or IEEE 1901.2 PLC is a plus
* Familiarity with IETF 6LoWPAN, RPL,CoAP is a plus
* Familiarity with IEEE802.1X/802.11i is a plus
* Familiarity with TinyOS or Contikiprogramming is a plus
* Familiarity with Linux kernel andRTOS is a plus
* Knowledge of Utilities industry isa plus
