JD_Simulation Engineer(System)

 

Location: ZF TRW Tech Center, Shanghai

Position Title: Simulation Engineer (System)

Department: OSS (Occupant Safety System) 

Product Line: OSS 

 

Overall Purpose of Job: 

?The system simulation engineer is responsible for achieving best restraint performance taking in consideration customers, specifications, legal and internal spec, timing and budget. 

 

Major Responsibilities: 

Perform simulation work at system level.

Analysis of customer specifications, legal requirements, internal specification, timing and budget.

Planning of simulation, meeting timing and cost target.  

Participate in feasibility studies where the implication of new requirements to the functionality is analysed  

Participate in component testing (ex. linear impactor Test), sled and crash test, collect information and parameters as input to simulation model.

Involve in design development stage, provide technical support/advice to technical counterparts both global and internal.

Takes all boundary conditions into full consideration, Set up a simulation model on the basis of a sufficient data.

Correlate the model as per physical test results and kinematics. Achieve high level of correlation to further with optimization phase.?

Execution and analysis of system simulation with variation of parameter to achieve optimum result for restraint performance.

Take all parts and their functional collaboration into consideration. For example: seatbelt, airbags, seat,steering.

Raise suggested corrections to design team for further improvement through a report.?

Improve the use of simulation into the product development process.

Recommend improvement on TRW or other components in order to increase restraint function

Continuous improvement of simulation modules of knowledge about simulation software and passive safety

Technical documentation in English and presentations.

Active member of the team 

 

Key Competencies: 

Experienced in FE modelling- Hyperworks, LS-DYNA, MADYMO, PAM-SAFE, RADIOSS

Knowledge about legislation, and vehicle safety.

Lead customer problem resolution  

Product knowledge

Decision making

Good communication in English (written and verbal)

 

Educational:

Bachelors/ Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Precision Mechanics, Vehicle Technology, or equivalent majors.

 

Experience Expected:

?2-5 years of working experience in simulation of restraints

?The component simulation engineer is responsible for achieving best restraint function taking in consideration customers, specifications, legal and internal spec, timing and budget. 

 

Major Responsibilities:

Active member of the team  

Analysis of customer, specifications, legal and internal spec, timing and budget.  Planning of simulation (Content, timing and costs)

Execution and analysis of component simulation with variation of design to optimize restraint performance

Training in consideration all components such as seatbelts, airbag seat, steering column etc.

Recommend improvement on TRW or other components in order to increase restraint function

Continuous improvement of simulation modules of knowledge about simulation software and passive safety

Technical documentation in English and presentations.

 

Key Competencies:

Basic and advanced training in Hyperworks, MADYMO, PAM-SAFE, LS-DYNA, RADIOSS

Knowledge about legislation dummies testing and vehicle safety.

Good communication of English

 

Education and Experience:

Educational:
