PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installation, Management, and administration of various flavors of LINUX system including Red Hat & SUSE LINUX.
- Installation and administration of hardware from various vendors like HP, Dell.
- Provide comprehensive Level-1 enterprise customer support (on-site, phone and e-mail) in a high-pressure, deadline-driven, LINUX, NIS, NFS and Automount system environment.
- Identify & develop scripts needed using various scripting languages (PERL, SHELL etc) for automating manual tasks.
- Expected to work in a global team environment and ensure processes & procedures are implemented and followed locally.
- Work on Escalated Incidents registered on the HelpDesk tool related to Unix calls.
- Supporting the user community by managing a multi operating system environment including RedHat Enterprise Linux, SUSE LINUX.
- Follow methodologies of RCA and document processes for all incidents and problems.
REQUIREMENTS
- Major of Computer Science/Compute Technology.
- Experience of various flavors of LINUX system including Red Hat & SUSE LINUX.
- Self-motivated with independent thinking.
- An excellent team player focusing on cooperation and communication.
- Strong communication skills in both written and verbal English.
- Experience in Script programming like Perl/Shell is preferred
- Knowledge of IT security tools is a plus
- Knowledge/Experience about Design Environment support in IC Industry will be a plus.
