Open Postdoc Positions
Description
Two postdoctoral fellow positions are available in the state key laboratory of surface physics at Fudan University, China. Annual salaries ranging from 200,000 to 300,000 RMB will be provided depending on the qualification of applicants.
The first position is on 2D magnetic semiconductors. The studies will focus on the potential applications of 2D material in spintronic devices. Applicants will use a combined UHV-MBE and low temperature spin polarized scanning tunneling microscopy system to grow and characterize new 2D magnetic semiconductors as well as 2D hetero-structures. The applicant has access to various experimental facilities including but not limited to SEM, TEM, SQUID, MOKE，PPMS for his/her research.
The second position is on developing a new cryofree cross-sectional spin polarized current imaging microscopy and using it to investigate the spin polarized current distribution in ferromagnet/semiconductor interface. The STM system is nearly finished. The applicants need to do further adjustment and test for cross-sectional measurements. The goal of this study is to learn the real time spin distribution in spintronic devices.
Requirements
?PhD (within the last 5 years) in physics, material science or related fields
?Strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
?Experience in one or more of the following are favored: ultrahigh vacuum facilities, MBE，scanning tunneling microscopy
?Be able to work independently and as part of a team
?Have excellent oral and written English skills and be able to write and publish first author papers
?Passionate for developing new facilities (for position 2)
