Summary:
VMware is now seeking the Software Development Engineer to join its engineering team to help China R&D further growth.

Working with other engineering team members, including feature domain experts, you will analyze product requirements and feature specifications to design and implement VMware product solutions for thousands of customers.
Responsibilities:
As this Development Engineer job is open for all China R&D, so it may have one or more combined responsibilities from below:
? Design and implement next generation operating system subsystems, such as networking, storage, etc.
? Cloud infrastructure management application and solution design and prototype
? Design and implement next generation of cloud computing applications on major mobile platforms, such as iOS, Android, Windows Phone etc.
? As a hands-on developer, will be capable of fully understanding operating system subsystems and implementing and guiding the changes required to maximize virtual and physical performance and scalability.
? Work on resource management requirements for virtual machines; work on kernel and user space software; problem analysis, resolution, and debugging.
? Work on next generation SDN product.
Education/Degree:
? Master or PhD Degree is desired in related disciplines, including Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation and Applied Mathematics, etc.
Location
? Beijing Or Shanghai
Skills and Experience:
? Strong C/C++, Java, python, or Objective C coding skills;
? Familiar with TCP/IP protocol suites and other networking protocols, AND the storage is a plus;
? Solid knowledge of Linux/UNIX kernels and/or Windows; OR strong programming skills and knowledge of major mobile operating systems, such as iOS, Android, Windows Phone, etc.;
? Understanding of VMware vSphere platform is highly desirable;
? Solid verbal and written English communication skills;
? A Self-starter and good team player;
