Job Description –Equity Research Associate
Position:Equity Research Associate
Location:Shanghai
Report to:Investment team
· Assist investment team in conducting in-depth research and analysis of publicly listed companies in China's A and H Share market via both primary and secondary research
· Assist in conducting value-added primary research, including sitting in and summarizing calls with industry experts, conducting market surveys, etc.
· Assist in financial and sector analysis, including collecting information from public filings, broker research, databases (Bloomberg, Wind, ThomsonOne, etc.), analyzing data, and communicating key findings
· Assist in building / updating financial models of target companies
· Assist in preparing private equity style investment decks on target companies
· Uncompromising integrity, open-mindedness
· Excellent research skills, structured thinking and analytical mind
· Good communication and presentation skills
· Willing to work under pressure, have good time-management skills
· Team player
· Excellent English and Chinese skills (listening, reading, writing and conversation)
· Undergraduate or Master Degree from top domestic or overseas universities with strong track record of academic achievement
· Some evidence of interest in investing preferred, including
· Manage personal portfolio
· Progress towards CFA
· Involvement in investment club
· Internship experience with buy-side, sell-side, consulting, investment banking or accounting firms
