Job Title: Quality and System Field Manager
• Job Description - SUMMARY OF POSITION:
• This position will be an assistant to CTI’s Director of Quality Assurance and System Continuous Improvement (CI) manager ,
• Mill Audit, Quality Assurance:
A. Travel to Mills and review all processes producing and quality/safety control, find problems for improving and add into Quality/Safety CAR tracking form, review Quality/Safety CAR tracking form(Including all complaints from USA and all findings by CTI team) on plant one by one, review unimproved points then help solving and review improved points, if found improved point returned back then change to red color and pushing improving again, review safety issues for improving according to CTI safety program and check list.
B. Inspectors will send all processes dimension “First Article and Daily Inspection Record” (Fill by Mill operator/QC)to QF manager, he will Review and train Mills Operator/QC and CTI inspectors executing and correctly filling the “First Article and Daily Inspection Record” according to CTI drawings and standards for all dimension processes.
C. UMA and Critical order inspection.
D. Review all Mills/inspector’s lab test facilities/processes/results, push executing and training.
E. Review raw material grade and recovery at Mills, find problem and give training.
F. Fill MC% audit form on process of raw material/Finger Joint/Moulder/Coating/Packing at Mills for data analysis and record.
G. Monitor CTI inspector SPC input status and help solving problems on plants and SPC system improvement.
• TFE Review: Assistant Technical Factory Evaluation.
• Implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) programs, , The new CI programs are expected to utilize proven methods such as Lean-Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Problem Solving and Corrective Action, while championing a culture-shift of Safety-Quality-Delivery-Cost-Inventory (SQDCI) to improve quality, service, and profitability.
• Provide helping on the translations and paper work related- both oral and written.
• The Manager will serve an integral role in oversight of the current Standard Work program of our Quality Assurance team. He needs work with CTI field people, and work directly with Mills to improve quality.
• KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• This position will be the key conduit between the company’s Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement Management team and the mills.
• Assist the leadership team in driving cultural change that ensures each employee possesses a continuous improvement attitude
• Active participation on conference calls, shop floor meetings, and presentations to senior leadership – for both Chinese and English team members.
• Responsible for the efficient coordination of Travel and Event logistics among several manufacturing plants
• Monitor, maintain and follow-up on key measurements tracking for program sustainability
• Responsible for motivating, coaching, and developing Chinese manufacturing workers
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures related to all facets of job.
• Must be “Hands-on” in plant locations, promoting a high energy, data driven, and results oriented culture.
• EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Outstanding graduates should be ok, and Experience in Wood Products Industry or Manufacturing experience related to Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing would be a benefit to the position
• Strong background in problem solving, planning, and organization
• Proven experience as an extroverted leader, a self-starter and you must be highly motivated.
• EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING:
• College Degree. Preferred Wood Processing or Material Major in Forestry University. Or Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial)
• English as a second language certificate or equivalent, CET-6 would be best.
• Certification in Lean-Manufacturing or Lean-Six Sigma would be a benefit to the position.
• ESSENTIAL ABILITIES:

Read, write and understand the English language
Excellent (bilingual) capabilities in English (written and oral).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical drawings (including CAD)
• Sense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independently.

• Computer literacy with ability to learn new computer software programs.
Intermediate to Advanced capabilities in MS Office Applications

• WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Work is performed in both office and manufacturing plant floor environment.
• Extensive travel required (50-70%) to all 10-12 CTI facilities on a regular basis. There may be some travel over the weekends.
