Day to Day Responsibilities:
Global and China Training strategy and system deployment and implementation:
-Fully understand all Global and China training plan/programs and tools, can clearly deliver the resources and tools based on requirement
-Summarize and feedback issues from plant to support to improve the training system
Support daily training activities and training programs for plant:
-Pilot regular/program training plan budget
-Lead training classes for new and experienced operators.
-Track attendance of all employees to meet training objectives. Produce reports and explain results to management.
-Monitor on-line training systems and problem solve where appropriate.
-Audit training program effectiveness and document findings.
-Organize and schedule courses where trainers must travel from different locations, including USA.
-Help create and improve certification programs for hourly employees.
-Protection of Corning’s Intellectual Assets (IA) in training programs.
-Engage in projects led by others, and coordinate training needs for these projects.
-Engage with Engineers, Operations, and Quality leaders to improve training where it is found to be ineffective.
Employee (DL) management support : DL hiring and onboarding process support
Employee activities and Corning value/culture promotion:
-Plan employee activities to enhance the relationship can cross communication
-Set up employee interesting clubs to promote connection outside work
-Corning value and culture promotion refresh through training
-Local community interaction to promote corning branding
Education & Experience:
-2-year degree minimum. Bachelor Degree a plus, especially if in technical major
-2 years of experience in factory or engineering related environment
Desired Skills:
-Familiar with Microsoft Office (including MS Excel), and experience entering data into databases
-Able to speak & read English
-Familiar with production process/equipment management
-Familiar with process control & discipline, 5S, Safety systems, and change management
