Summary/Objective

The Intern – Strategy Group position is a critical support role at Glades Group of Companies (“Group”).

实习生-战略组的职能是GLADE集团公司（“集团”）的重要支持角色。

Supporting and Reporting to the Senior Analyst/Managers/Chief Strategy Officer, he/she will play a key and active role on the team, supporting initiatives that will drive the Group’s corporate strategy and transactional activity. He/she will support the Group’s effort in market research and other business strategy initiatives to drive both organic and inorganic growth, among others.

Essential Functions
Corporate Strategy

• Support in delivering strategic data analysis, insights and presentations to senior leadership.

• Support in identifying, cultivating and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data in the external competitive market as well as from within the organization (e.g. financials) to support business needs.

• Support in contributing to improve systems, processes and tools particularly as they enhance the vision of data analytics, innovation, social impact investing and/or strategy development, among others.

• Support development and formal documentation of Corporate Strategy processes, as well as process monitoring and improvement.

Business Unit Strategy & Support

• Work closely with key stakeholders in the Group to support priority tactical initiatives to improve Business Unit performance.

• Develop a deep understanding of how the Group’s Business Units operate, the markets they play in, their strategic priorities and potential opportunities.

Business/Market Insights

• Support in the analysis and development of points of view on trends and market forecasts in the plastic and paper packaging as well as paper and resin material sectors, critically thinking about the implications for the Group.

• Support in conducting research on industries, potential partners and competitors etc.

• Support in monitoring, screening, analyzing and executing potential acquisitions or partnerships

Competencies

• Exceptional quantitative and financial acumen. Good to have knowledge of corporate finance and valuation

Management Responsibility – This position is responsible for the direct supervision of the Chief Strategy Officer and the Senior Analyst of the Strategy Group and the indirect supervision of the Group’s Directorate Team.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work – This is a full-time intern position. Days and hours of work are Monday to Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
