IES Shanghai     IES Abroad launched its first program in China in 1990 in Beijing. The Shanghai Center was established in spring 2008, and since then, the Center has developed many programs—Shanghai EBS Program, Engineering Program, Business in China Program, in partnership with Fudan University and Shanghai Jiaotong University. The Business in China Program will receive its first group of students in September 2010.     The IES students usually study and live in Shanghai for a semester. All of them take a Chinese language course, and area study courses in social development and business, such as Shanghai urban study, marketing in China, and corporate strategy. Students also have an opportunity to intern at companies and organizations in Shanghai. Throughout the semester, the Center organizes various activities and field trips to facilitate students’ understanding of and adaptation to the Chinese culture.
