Role Summary:
The Data Scientist will work in teams addressing statistical, machine learning and data understanding problems in Aviation industry. In this role, you will contribute to the development and deployment of modern machine learning, operational research, semantic analysis, and statistical methods for finding structure in large data sets.

Essential Responsibilities:
The Data Scientist will be part of a data science or cross-disciplinary team on Aviation industry, typically involving large, complex data sets. You will support the Machine Learning / Deep Learning team to develop and deliver predictive models for internal and external customers.
- Ensure proper definition of data needs, evaluation of data quality, and recommend appropriate statistical analysis.
- Work on core data aggregation, validation and algorithms development and implement them using technology chosen.
- Optimize current data process flow, create reusable data processing module for frequent usage and process, and improve data process efficiency and stability.
- Proactively share information across the team to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Master and above degree, majored in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Automation, Computational Engineering, Bioinformatics.
- Understanding of fundamental data science concepts, e.g. feature selection/extraction, model validation, etc.
- Experience in design, develop and deploy data-driven descriptive analysis and predictive models to solve problems.
- Experience in data manipulation, good sense in data quality, comfortable in dealing with unstructured data.
- Solid programming skills in Python; experience and knowledge in machine learning and deep learning.
- Strong rational ability, communication, inter-personal, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge to Mechanics/Aviation is a plus.
- Experience in any of the following fields is a plus: NLP, Computer Vision, Time-series, reinforcement learning.
