Summer Internship Recruiting - Fundamental Research Analyst at First Manhattan Co. (FMC) First Beijing Investment Ltd.

First Manhattan Co. (FMC) is an investment management service provider based in New York City. Founded in 1964, the company manages investments with fundamental value investing approaches. Its asset under management (AUM) has reached over $17 billion, built on long-term client relationship. The company's founder David Gottesman, a longtime friend of Mr. Warren Buffett, is one of the boards of directors of Berkshire Hathaway INC.
First Beijing Investment Ltd. manages FMC's Greater China fund, FM First Hong Kong Fund. With a strong team of experienced professionals, the fund has accumulated a total of 80% return over the past three years.

Job description:
A Summer Fundamental Research Analyst in First Beijing Investment Ltd., with competitive compensation and a nice lifestyle, is expected to undertake the following responsibilities:
•Act as a self-starter to identify, research and recommend fundamentally undervalued stocks as initial coverage of potential investment opportunities.
•Participate in conference calls with company management to fulfill follow-up research tasks.
•Represent First Beijing investment team to conduct ground-investigations to listed companies.
The Summer Fundamental Research Analyst Program is expected to last for at least 3 months.
Qualifications:
•Strong motivation and passion for buy-side investment research.
•Solid learning capacity, good working diligence and a habit of innovative idea-generation and critical thinking.
•Prior experience in fundamental equity research and/or personal trading record is a big plus.
Compensation: base bonus housing subsidy for candidates from other cities
