HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER -
to be based in Shanghai or Beijing, China
Responsibilities:
• The successful candidate will be reporting to the General Manager, Greater China and dotted line to the HR Director, Asia Pacific.
• Lead the human resource function for our client\'s operations in China and Hong Kong.
• Proactively anticipate and meet the needs of business leaders, staff and line managers through the HR function: (1) A good understanding of the business and market situation in the respective field offices across China and Hong Kong; (2) Reviewing and formulating policies and practices to align and support business and people needs; (3) Applying best practices in handling current and emerging people issues to achieve business excellence.
• Manpower Needs: (1) Continuously source and keep a lookout for potential candidates; (2) Ensure pipeline of candidates and quality of human resources through effective sourcing, screening & selection process; (3) Proactively anticipate the immediate and future business needs of the organization and ensure bench strength readiness.
• Learning & Development: (1) Create a learning organization, identify learning & development needs and ensure timely and effective development of human resources, including knowledge sharing and retention; (2) May be required to deliver soft-skills or HR related programs; (3) Ensure new hires are effectively assimilated and productive thru proper on-boarding and induction programs.
• Performance Management: Work with managers to drive a high performance culture through the performance review process, ensuring that managers understand the objective & purpose, their roles and how to conduct an effective review.
• Compensation & Benefits: Ensure that compensation and benefits programs are cost effective, relevant and equitable thru salary surveys, job levelling reviews, internal equity reviews, bonus & incentive plans reviews etc.
• Employee Engagement: Drive employee engagement initiatives including communication, team meetings, feedback sessions, recognition programs etc.
• Ensure compliance of HR practices and programs in relation to local statutory requirements, AHQ and Corporate policies.
• Operational Effectiveness: Facilitate efficient HR operation including data accuracy on e-hr and timely and accurate reporting to Management and Asia HQ.
• Work closely with the Asia HQ HR team to implement regional and global HR programs in China.
Requirements:
• The ideal candidate should have a Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of working experience in human resource with the last 3 years in a management role.
• A strong background in recruitment and training will be preferred.
• Prior regional experience covering China and Hong Kong will be an advantage.
• Dynamic personality with solid interpersonal and communications skills.
• Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese.
• Self-driven, service-oriented mindset, a team player, diligent, adaptable and resourceful.
• Willing to be \"hands on\" and to travel within China as & when required.
• Resilient driver who is excellent at building HR infrastructure and practices as well as driving change throughout the organization in a dynamic and fast-pace environment.
• Service-oriented, ability to work under pressure and high adaptability to different working conditions and environment.
