Ensure that all IT related systems and applications are available as required by the Store and IT services.
Manage the administration of the IKEA computer systems and daily IT operation routines for the country, according to IKEA requirements.
All hardware is correctly label and be able to identify them.
Computer rooms are maintained to operate efficiently and effectively
A hardware checklist is made and updated when changes are made.
Main Responsibilities
Daily administration of IKEA Computer Systems in Stores. Ensure that:
Computer rooms are maintained to operate efficiently and effectively and all IT assets are controlled in "Basic Fact" and any other appropriate local register.
System backup operations are performed in accordance with IKEA procedures, including tape changes and maintenance.
Monitor all fault reporting is performed in accordance to designed specification and IKEA requirements.
Supporting Helpdesk in events concerning the stores and make sure that certain actions are carried out. Use system to give Helpdesk the necessary information when reporting incidents and troubleshooting.
Support for IKEA Common Client (ICC3), includes all modules, as well as PC and Printer support.
Supporting the user in application questions together with the Super Users.
Ensure installation of new hardware is in accordance with IKEA standard procedures and the installation of software and software updates are performed in a timely manner.
Reboot Server by week.
Check IT equipment by week.
System backup operations are performed in accordance with IKEA procedures, including tape changes and maintenance.
Contact the local vendor, in case of a hardware error.
Train users in basic PC and printer skills and fault handling.
Assist in introductory training of user in ICC basic applications.
IT security
User administration is maintained to ensure all users are current and have the appropriate access and passwords.
Ensure that IKEA IT-security rules and guidelines, Information Security Policy are known and adhered to in the store.
Maintenance of IKEA Computer System in Stores.
Ensure hardware in stores is label, recorded correctly and registered, and all UPS, Patch panels, Routers, Switches, Network cabling and Servers are maintained in accordance with IKEA standards.
Ensure installation of new hardware is in accordance with IKEA standard procedures and the installation of software and software updates are performed in a timely manner.
Ensure all system upgrades are tested and checked according to procedures.
Routines and procedures in Stores.
Ensure routines have been adhered to in accordance with established IKEA Administration Support Retail and IT services requirements.
Ensure IT operations handbooks and procedures are available in the latest versions.
Support the Operations Manager in securing business continuity plan for IT areas.
Knowledge tools in Stores
Train users in basic PC and printer skills and fault handling.
Monitor the level of system knowledge is in accordance with IKEA requirements.
Assist in introductory training of user in ICC basic applications.
Assist in determining if the systems meet user requirements and forward recommendations to the appropriate persons.
Ensure System administration is operated in accordance with IKEA specification and requirements.
Additional tasks
Ensure training facilities are available when required.
Assist as required in the roll-out of new or changed IT solutions.
