Summary:
The Sr. Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) will be responsible for execution of the Process Engineering & Quality job function within Gateway's Manufacturing Partner's facilities in China.
Responsibilities:
The development and use of Gateway's Safe Launch Process. SQE will ensure that critical Safe Launch milestones are established for each development phase including: Design Validation (DVT), Engineering Validation (EVT), Manufacturing Validation (MVT) and Ramp.
Responsible for production control & continuous improvement to achieve System First Pass Yield (FPY), Final Quality Audits (FQA), and Out-of-Box Audit (OBA) supplier requirements.
Perform Pilot Run process qualification and First Article buy-off.
Establish and oversee effective Ongoing Reliability Test program, drive root cause and corrective action on all failures.
Oversee and validate ongoing Supplier Product and Process Changes to assure no negative impact on Quality and Reliability.
Assess supplier quarterly performance and corrective actions in support of Gateway Corporate Quarterly Business Reviews.
Requirements:
Successful candidate will need to be able to represent Gateway effectively from a remote location.
Strong communications skills, organizational agility skills and influence skills required. Strong English proficiency also required.
Must be intimately familiar with PC manufacturing and test methods, ISO 9001-2000 Quality Management System standards and methods, 8D Problem Solving methodology, quality improvement tools and methodology.
Percent of Travel: 50% - 75%
Education:
Require a Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
Master degree in Engineering, Material Science or Physics preferred.
