Summary:
The Sr. OEM Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will be responsible for execution of the Quality job function within Gateway's OEM and maintaining software image development, support manufacturing duties in China.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for OEM supplier managing and ODM Software applications tasks in Shanghai office.
The development and use of Gateway's OEM Safe Launch Process.
Works with ODM Suppliers to support Software applications and drivers.
Works with systems tools and components that support software image build process.
Researches and implements activities and procedures that enhance the quality of Software application and maintenance of OEM process.
Requirements:
Successful candidate will need to be able to represent Gateway effectively from a remote location.
Strong communications skills, organizational agility skills and influence skills required. Strong English proficiency also required.
Must be intimately familiar with PC manufacturing and Software test methods, ISO 9001-2000 Quality Management System standards and methods, 8D Problem Solving methodology, quality improvement tools and methodology.
Percent of Travel: 30% - 55%
Education:
Require a Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
Master degree in Engineering, Material Science or Physics preferred.
