HP Lab - Research Intern (BJ)

Job Description:



HP Labs China offers internship opportunities for current Master students, Ph.D students, and recent graduates who presently hold a post-doc positions in graudate schools. These positions are located in Beijing, China. The internship positions are usually between three months to a year. We are looking for students or graduates with some of the following background: scalable database and information management, content management, web services and service oriented architecture, data mining, optimization and algorithms, parallel and distributed information management, clustered computer and file systems, workflow technologies, and software development.



Research interns participate in technical research projects at the Lab. Expert in your chosen technology, you\'ll explore and develop opportunities, evaluate state of the art in literature, products, and tools, investigate, integrate, develop, define and validate models. You may also have opportunities to interact with customers to discover real-world problems.


Innovation is key as you will have the opportunity to be involved in the design and development of prototypes and new software products and tools. You will also play a role in proving new concepts or assuring quality of the solutions.



　

Required Profile:

　

Education

Currently pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D. degree, or currently holding a post-doc position at a university, major in a technical discipline (e.g. computer science, information technology, engineering, math, etc.)



Experience and knowledge
Experience includes software system research and development to create innovative solutions. Knowledge of all phases of software life cycle (definition through production) is helpful.



Expertise in the following area will be very helpful: scalable database and information management, content management, web services and service oriented architecture, data mining, optimization and algorithms, parallel and distributed information management, clustered computer and file systems, workflow technologies, and software development.
