Shell is expanding rapidly in mainland China. Shell's focus in mainland China is to provide clean energy solutions that are sustainable over the long term, that support the country's growth and help reduce environmental impacts.
Responsibilities:
Support the execution of projects from design phase to plant start-up; Provide services to licensees including training, work closely with the Coal Gas unit of Gas & Power China during the marketing stage, extend services further when the plants are in operation, as well as maintain close contacts with equipment suppliers; Extensive travelling is expected within China, and about 50% of time will be spent on client’s plant sites.
Requirements:
Has previous involvement/experience in areas of equipment design, procurement, and inspection by doing it or heavily interacting with mechanical engineers; Has worked on design and/or engineering and/or construction of a project for grass-root or revamping plants in oil and/or gas and/or chemical industry; Experiences in plant (pre)commissioning, start-up & project management and coordination; Experience with (coal) gasification technology & experience working with equipment suppliers is preferred; Frequent travel to plant sites within China & extended stay at plant sites outside Beijing office.
