ESSENTIAL FUNCTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
* The successful candidate will be responsible for the structure and surface analysis of inorganic materials in bulk or film, by using the X
-ray diffraction, metallographic microscopy, electron microscopy, scanning probe microscopy and other surface analytical technologies;
* The ideal candidate will be involved deeply in research and product development projects not only by providing analytical support but also contributing idea/suggestion on materials development process through his/her material science and chemistry knowledge/experience;
* The daily work includes analytical method development, sample preparation, operation and maintenance of analytical equipments, interpretation of analytical results, documentation of research work.QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
* Master or PhD in solid state physics or materials science (physics or chemistry);
* Extensive experience in characterization of inorganic materials, including metals, alloys, and ceramics;
* Hands
-on experience in instrument operation and maintenance, including metallographic measurements, SPM, SEM and X
-ray diffraction as required;
* Must be a creative problem solver;
* Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams required.
