Job Summary

The Medical Information function works to drive optimal use of Pfizer Medicine. We do this partnering with internal and external customers in providing high quality information solutions and insights to aid decision making in the care of patients. The Officer role works in researching, creating and delivering responses to medical queries across the Pfizer portfolio from doctors/pharmacists through our sales force and direct from consumers. Internally, the Officer works closely with Product Teams in sharing Customer Insights from our customer interaction and supporting Product Team initiatives requiring medical information input.

KEY RESULT AREAS & JOB ACTIVITIES /TASKS

1. Medical Information Service

Customer Medical Solutions Direct and indirect Customer Support (via Pfizer Sales team)

* Researching Medical Solutions to external customer queries (doctors, pharmacists, patients) across the Pfizer portfolio and therapy areas and in close corporation with Medical Affairs team
* Creating (standard and customized) medical responses to customers
* Delivering medical solutions verbally, in writing or through presentations. Also involved in other channels of communicating with customers such as internet, conferences where appropriate.
* Work closely with Medical Affairs team to create and maintain database of local standard medical summary documents for key product queries

Internal support to Pfizer colleagues on information needs to achieve business goals

* Work with internal aligned Product teams and Medical Information consultant on initiatives requiring medical information input.

2. Customer Insights

* Provide business with insights/business leads from daily interaction with customers

3. Maintenance, Improvement and Promotion of the Service

* Assist in maintaining, improving and promoting the Medical Information service through proactive recommendations for process improvements and leading of select projects where competency shown

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS

1. Educational /Training

University Degree with strong Medical/Pharmacy focus

2. Working Experiences

Minimum1 year related working experience, preferably pharmaceutical industry but clinical practice also relevant

Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

Excellent medical/pharmacy background

Excellent ability to research information and provide oral, written & presentation solutions

Strong customer service sense

Able to work under pressure in a busy environment

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Excellent English skill in speaking, reading and writing
