A concept designer is to understand our end-customer’s behavioural patterns, discover their preference of using mobile devices and applications, understand the technology enablers, and then create new concepts accrodingly, transferring the user needs into solutions, especially for users in the emerging market like China and India.
Requirements
We are looking for a Ph.D with relevant experiences in concept creation, user interface design, HCI, and user research area. As a concept designer, you need to have solid research experience and proven success in concept creation as well as user understanding and predictive modelling. In addition to your outstanding academic merits, you can refer to relevant working experience in an industrial environment where you have demonstrated your capabilities to translate the user needs into concepts and solutions, design samples of UI and Interaction.You also have an understanding of social sciences and are eager to work in the intersection of data patterns and user behaviour and needs. We expect that you have an independent working style and as an enthusiastic team player, the interaction in a truly multi-disciplinary team will enhance your output. You enjoy challenging and iterating your ideas and concepts within the team, the global research network of Nokia Research Center, Nokia as a whole and with our collaboration partners. Your strong communication skills – in written and spoken English - ensure effective presentation of your research insights. Your understanding India and China cultures is highly appreciated.
