Visual interaction systems group, Systems Research Center Beijing of Nokia Research Center, is working on visual interaction solutions and relevant enabling technologies. Our research work mainly focuses on user-friendly interaction with diverse modilities of mobile devices, e.g., camera, pen, etc.
We are seeking to strengthen our team with brilliant, creative, self-motivated minds with a passion for research and creating innovative technologies of great impacts.
Responsibilities:
• Identify and create research and development projects with great impacts.
• Research on relevant technologies for image content analysis and recognition. Initial focus will be
on image content recognition applied to visual interaction and/or interactive services. Future focus
will be aligned with your interests and the company’s needs.
• Create working prototypes and demo systems to show capabilities and practical problems
addressed by our innovative technologies, drive technology transfers to product groups, and help
to create and execute incubation projects.
Requirements
Ph. D. in computer engineering, computer science, or related fields
• Strong background in image processing and analysis, and pattern recognition, and good publication
record
• Strong ability to read scientific publications, and follow up the state-of-art research trends
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, and Symbian programming skill is a plus
• Excellent written and oral English.
