1997年12月，延锋伟世通汽车饰件系统有限公司和美国江森自控国际有限公司共同投资，成立了上海延锋江森座椅有限公司（以下简称延锋江森）。从成立之初，延锋江森就主动以全球化战略定位公司的经营方略，按全球化要求推进持续化发展。2005年，公司位列上海工业企业500强第43位。2006年公司实现销售51.5亿元，出口1.23亿美元。

作为中国最大的汽车座椅及顶饰系统供应商之一，延锋江森逐渐形成了座椅总成、机械零件、发泡、面套、PIP头枕及顶饰系统的产品研发和制造能力，形成了完整的产品平台和产品体系，并成为众多国内外整车厂商的第一选择。
延锋江森为上海通用、上海大众、上海汇众、东风日产、东风悦达起亚、奇瑞、江淮等国内整车厂配套生产轿车座椅总成，并出口面套、机械零件等座椅零件至日本和欧美各国。同时拥有将近300人的技术中心，具有国内最为领先的汽车座椅设计和测试能力, 是整个延锋江森的核心竞争力所在。
