We are building a passionate and talented software development team for an American company, Kango, located in Silicon Valley. Kango is developing the next generation technologies for vertical search, which is based on semantic web, machine learning, and data processing algorithms. Outstanding Engineers may have a chance to work in the US by L1 Visa.

* Search Expert

Responsibility:
1. Design, implement, and test search engine, algorithms, and rules using Java.
2. Design, implement, and test Java components for data classification, data extraction, and data augmentation.
Qualification:
1. 2+ years of Java development experience. Fluent in core Java.
2. Experience in designing and developing search engine or related software components.
3. In-depth understanding of search indexing, search relevance and other search algorithms.
4. Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and methods for processing large amount of web content.
5. Experience or knowledge of semantic web technology is a big plus.
6. Experience of Lucene or Solr is a plus.
7. Master or PhD degree in computer science or related fields

* Technical Lead

Responsibility:
1. Lead a team of talented software developers to design, implement, and test web applications and Java components.
2. Recruit the required expertise, grow the team as needed.
3. Inspire, motivate, and help your team members.
4. Communicate with Kango team to understand the functional requirements and technical specifications.
Qualification:
1. 2 years of experience as a technical manager or technical lead
2. 4+ years of experience in architecting, designing, and implementing Java/J2EE applications.
3. Experience in managing full life cycles of software development, from requirements, design, development, test, to deployment.
4. Expert of J2EE technologies and frameworks, such as Spring, Hibernate, Servlet/JSP, Struts, etc.
5. In-depth knowledge of DB and data modeling, experience in MySQL is a plus.
6. Familiar with development environment, such as Eclipse (or other IDE), Linux, and SVN.
7. Proficient in reading and writing English. Speaking English well is a big plus.

* QA

Responsibility:
Lead functional tests, regression tests of web applications and backend applications.
Qualification:
1. 2+ years of experience in testing web applications and Java applications.
2. Familiar with methodologies of white-box and black-box tests.
3. Familiar with bug management tools such as Bugzilla.
4. Experience in test automation.
5. Experience in load tests and performance tests.
6. Knowledge of Java and Ruby is a big plus.
7. Minimum degree: Bachelor in science or engineering.
8. Proficient in reading and writing English. Speaking English well is a plus.

* Operations

Responsibility:
1. Plan, design and implement load balancing solutions for high volume web applications.
2. Manage data center activities, network configurations, firewall, and DNS configurations.
3. Plan, source, and implement hardware capacities for web servers and application servers.
4. Plan, design, and implement DB servers, data storage, and data backup solutions.
Qualification:
1. Experience with hardware load balancer, VIP, load balancing algorithms.
2. Experience in setting IP network, switch, router, and broadcasting network.
3. Experience in setting up web proxy, firewall, SSL, DMZ, and other security policies.
4. Experience in DB servers, ETL tools. Experience in MySQL is preferred.
5. Experience in storage device (such as disk array), data partition, data area network, SCSI. Experience in Fiber Channel is a plus.
6. Expert of Linux system, system administration.
7. Experience in application monitoring tools for Linux environment, such as Nagios.
8. Proficient in reading and writing English. Speaking English well is a big plus.
