Reports to: Head of Human Resources Manager
Head of Human Resources Service
Key Responsibility Areas (KRA’s):
Payroll –
Responsible for managing full spectrum of Payroll and Income Tax, ensure compliance of China Tax Law as well as corporate policies as well as HR account reporting submission to Group HR office based in Hong Kong. Supervise and schedule work assignments of payroll & tax administration and ensure they perform effectively with the requirement and Payroll team member
Recruitment, Joiner and Transfer process – (administrative and client facing)
Preparation of job descriptions, engagement of recruitment agents, interviewing of candidates, pre-employment checks, employment contracts, transfer/secondment letters, joiner documentation, work permit application, liaison with Compliance and induction.
HR Compliance –
Provide advice on HR compliance issues and potential impact of regulatory trends and developments impact to policy and procedure. Assist in review the compliance controls and identify proper actions for improvement, monitor HR related regulatory obligations.
Correspondence –
Probation confirmation, salary confirmation, promotion letters, contract extension, invoice processing, responding to speculative CV’s and all other administrative elements supporting the Client Relationship/Generalist function.
Salary Review – (performed on an adhoc basis)
Gathering market intelligence (recruiters, competitors etc), benchmarking positions, making review recommendations.
Employee Relations –
General policy advice to line managers and employees, grievance and discipline management, terminations/exit interviews.
Reporting tasks -
Ad-hoc reports (salary summaries, total compensation, turnover etc)
Ad-hoc Projects –
China Graduate Internship Program, China component of CLSA Academy programme, Bird Flu contingency planning
Requirements
Five year relevant experience in payroll and generalist role in Financial Services or MNC and at least 2 years in managerial level. Solid experience in Individual Income Tax (IIT) in China / International Assignment, Payroll & Tax is an advantage
Degree qualified, ideally in Human Resources or Finance related
Strong analytical skills and computer skills especially in Excel (Formula/advanced Spreadsheeting) is a must
Mature, proactive attitude and must be a good team player
Independent and able to work well under pressure
Preferably hold experience in the banking/finance sector
Must have strong English written and verbal communication skills
Must be a proactive self starter, with the ability to meet deadlines
SAP systems skills advantageous
