Job description for New Business Development Manager

                                                                                         

POSITION SUMMARY

 

New Business Development Manager should focus on constant flow of business development projects in China. Within a mid to a long-term, he/ she should be successful in licensing in and rolling out new products and projects to bridge strategic net sales and earn a gap for the company. He/ she should succeed in concluding co-promotion and co-marketing business.

Title:     New Business Development Manager

 

Location : Shanghai

 

Reporting to: Executive Director

 

Brief Job Description

1.        Identify, analyze and prepare new product and project proposals for Rxmidas Pharmaceuticals;

2.        Establish and foster market intelligence and local networks to find and evaluate NBD opportunities;

3.        Contact international & local pharmaceutical companies or local institutes to seek possible opportunities of business development;

4.        Evaluate current NBD projects and product launches with subsequent reports and recommendations to senior management;

5.        Prepare and propose financial planning tools for the evaluation of NBD projects;

6.        Coordinate S&D product introductions in China. Prepare and consolidate analysis, forecasting, business and regulatory strategy;

7.        Assist GM/ Executive Director with the acquisition/ road-show projects;

8.        Draft and negotiate license and other NBD contracts together with senior executives;

9.        Establish and execute benchmark of Rxmidas Pharmaceuticals in China;

10.    Assist and prepare annual budget and forecasting for NBD plan;

11.    Monitor and supervise together with Financial Department the performance of NBD projects;

12.     Other BD related activities.

 

 

 

 

Candidate Profile

1.        “Hands-on”, entrepreneurial minded business development professionals;

2.        Sound life science education with successful commercial track-record and min. 5 years experience in business development or marketing in the pharmaceutical industry;

3.        Willing and able to travel frequently in China and other regions;

4.        Focused and creative, excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills in English;

5.        Well-developed computer skills.

 

Projected Starting Date :  As soon as possible

 

Estimated Position Duration :  Open ended

 

Likely Career Progression after this position:

This opportunity could lead to a Senior NBD Manager / NBD Director position for China.
