Compliant mechanics postdoc at Nokia Research Center Beijing
Description
Research, design and develop compliant and flexible mechanics and solutions with a team of device creation researchers. Planning, specifying and implementing the research and design of compliant and flexible mechanical structures, mechanisms, and housing of mobile electronic devices. The design is done in close co-operation with the researchers in industrial design, architecture design, electro-mechanical design, and system integration. The work requires also direct contact to material and manufacturing suppliers, to specify and review the work from the suppliers. Establish a good internal and external communication network and contribute to demonstrator creation & scientific discussions. Generate innovative solutions and apply patents. Ensure global benchmarking and technology map creation & maintenance. New solution creation internally and with universities and partners. Coaches and supports others in research projects.
Qualifications
- Work experience in research and design of compliant and flexible mechanics, particularly for structures, mechanisms, and housing.
- Experience in numeric simulations and optimization of compliant and flexible mechanical structures and mechanisms.
- Good understanding of mechanical design and engineering mechanics.
- Experience of design and simulation tools like Catia, ANSYS, ABAQUS, Hypermesh, etc.
- Understanding of mobile electronics devices in system level is a plus.
- Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering or engineering mechanics.
- Good in communicating in English both in speaking and writing.
