We are seeking an exceptional technologist and manager to help start a Web 2.0 company. We look for someone with someone with knowledge and creative ideas, with proven practical experience.

The founder of the Company is a well-known Internet pioneer from the U.S. who lives in Beijing. He has started 4 successful online companies before.

The CTO should be ready to take ownership of all aspects of the technology required to create a successful venture, including both front-end and back-end development and operations:

1. Architecture
2. Platform development
3. User interface
4. System administration

Key responsibilities of the Chief Technology Officer include:

1.Determine what development strategies we should follow.
2.Define what development tools we should use, what staff we should hire and what financial resources we will need.
3.Define technical standards and ensure adherence to them for product development and company operations.
4.Have a proven familiarity with development tools in use for Web 2.0 applications.
5.Present the technical direction and strategies to external audiences including potential strategic partners and investors
6.Demonstrate creativity in solving problems and overcoming obstacles
7.Show passion and perseverance

Background and Experience:

1.B.S. or M.S. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Advanced degree preferred
2.At least 3 years of experience in leadership positions in systems development
3.Experience in working in a start-up environment is highly desirable
4.Vision to plan initiatives for the future
5.Demonstrate the ability to build and manage a team of world class developers.

Our office is on Guang Hua Lu next to the new CCTV towers in Chaoyang District CBD.
