Qualifications: Masters degree; High level of IT skills including MS Word and Excel; Good working knowledge of minute taking; Good knowledge of email/electronic calendar and internet; Good working knowledge of PowerPoint; fluent in Mandarin; Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate confidently at all levels, including the ability to deal appropriately with highly confidential matters; Experience working in an international setting; Proactive “can do” approach and ability to demonstrate initiative; Flexibility and ability to work under pressure,

Salary & Benefits: 55,000RMB -65,000 RMB per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Update student handbooks, module and degree handbooks.
• Maintain Divisional website, update information on Saturn.
• Record and manage student absence and relevant correspondence.
• Assist staff in course material preparation.
• Be responsible for all coursework submissions.
• Oversee exam paper preparation and exam resits.
• Record exam marks, liaise with administrative staff in the UK over exam boards and final marks, and disseminate results at UNNC. Archive exam records.
• Liaise with Time-Table office to ensure that teaching rooms, meeting rooms and videoconferencing rooms are booked in advance.
• Distribute books, receipts and record numbers issued.
• Undertake all administrative duties to facilitate the study abroad schemes.
• Act as a filter for all key enquiries (in person and by telephone/email) for students, University staff, etc. and deal with such enquiries by channelling them to staff within the Division/University and ensuring that actions are taken appropriately and promptly.
• Key liaison officer with home schools in UK. Work closely with administrators in the School of English Studies and the Centre for English Language Education by email and videoconference.
• Prepare and circulate agendas and supporting papers, and take minutes for meetings Chaired by the Head of Division.
• Ensure that English Studies staff meet all administrative deadlines by being proactive in collating and sending all relevant information to them with advance notice.
• Oversee all administrative, organisational and correspondence matters relating to the Centre for Research in Applied Linguistics.
• Assist the Head of Division in all administrative duties.
• Provide translation and interpretation for the Head of Division as and when required.
• Plan and organise meetings both internally and externally on behalf of the Head of Division. Manage itineraries for visitors to the University.
• Organise domestic and international travel, prepare itineraries, book flights and hotel accommodation, obtain visas.
