We are looking for person to work in Nokia S40 software development team as a senior software engineer. Selected persons will have responsibilities of software design, implementation, and testing in the areas of mobile browser, touch input, messaging, and operator-specific requirements. Major programming languages are C (and C ). Also skills in other development platforms including Java ME, Flash, Web Runtime, Qt, and POSIX are appreciated. Expected work also includes also brainstorming and prototyping new possible features in the above areas, steering and supporting the possible projects with external resources and companies.
Key Tasks
- Pre-study, concept and analyze user stories together with other relevant personnel. Support higher level architect to keep needed software architechture documentation up-to-date;
- Concept, prototype user stories as output for experience projects;
- Support higher level architect in pre-study, analysis, and design areas;
- Coding based on team objectives. Produce high quality software developed in a collaborated environment.
- Conducting unit test for own area or other areas
Qualifications
- About 5 years experience in embedded software development in telecommunications/data communication domain. Prior experience as technical lead and/or architect is appreciated;
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering;
- Skills and experiences in C/C programming language. Skills and experiences in other development platforms including Java ME, Flash, Web Runtime, Qt, and POSIX are a plus;
- Knowledge and experiences in software development processes, specifically agile methods. Experiences in Scrum are a plus;
- Experiences in analyzing, designing, implementing software according to user stories/requirements. Good understanding of embedded system, real-time OS, and system architecture;
- Experiences in low-level software testing;
- Fluent in both written and spoken English;
- Ability and skills in communications and collaborations within and/or across teams;
- Ability and skills to network with and influence others successfully within and/or across teams;
- Ability and skills to handle high level of complexities and contribute to the roadmapping/planning of the team;
- Highly energized and motivated to contribute to team targets and innovate. High commitment to customer and project focus. Minimum supervision required;
- Strong sense of user experience and quality
- Good team player and be flexible
