The Formulation Scientist will be responsible for formulation development, optimization, and process development for solid, liquid and semi-solid dosage form of pharmaceuticals. This individual will design and perform experiments leading to the development of scientifically sound formulations and manufacturing processes. Formulate new products to customer specifications. Improve existing formulations and manufacturing processes for current products as necessary. Assist in obtaining, evaluation, and selecting raw materials and components that can be validated in compliance with FDA, SFDA and other applicable regulations. Cooperate with analytical chemists regarding assay/analysis of new formulations and development of appropriate control procedures.
The job is located in Beijing. The individual will need to work in Shanghai for 6 – 10 months temporarily before moving to Beijing.
Requirements
? Master or Ph.D. degree in pharmaceutical science, chemical engineering and other related areas with 0-3 years of industry experiences. B.S. degree with competitive credentials will also be considered.
? Solid understanding of pre-formulation, formulation development, stability and analytical development.
? Preferred experience with solid dosage forms including sustained release
? Knowledge of GMP related to pharmaceutical manufacturing
? Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
? Strong attention to detail.
? Ability to organize, prioritize and effectively perform concurrent tasks.
