Amazon is looking for a smart and ambitious Support Engineer - Amazon Services to join its China team based in Beijing. |
We are looking for an experienced support engineer who will represent Amazon and Amazon WebServices to professional users and developers who need assistance integrating their systems with our services. You'll work directly with Amazon's engineering teams to ensure that developer issues are resolved quickly. In addition, you'll write code samples, tutorials, and technical articles for the development community, work with developers to understand how they are using our services, and provide feedback to development teams. |

Responsibilities |
· You will actively support a community of developers by answering technical questions and proactively managing a Developer forum and blog. |
· You will develop the local community of developers by managing the relationship between Amazon and key strategic integratorsand providing high-touch service to them (workshops, trainings, tutorials...). |
· You will own the localisation of the technical materials for China (review new technical materials, supervise translation into Chinese, write sample code...) |
· You will engage internal and external customers/teams to verify business processes and define requirements. You will be responsible for providing feedback to the US-based Technology team and for driving projects to meet local requirements. |
· You will support the launches of new programs, categories and features. |
Qualifications |
· BS or MSc in computer science or a related field. |
· 2-5 years previous experience in Software Development, preferably Web Services based application (B2B/EDI is plus) or in Technical Customer Support of software products (e.g. OS, Database, Web Server, ERP, etc). Experience in a Internet Company or affiliate sales company preferred. Graduates with relevant internship experience are also welcome to apply. |
· Solid software development experience in at least two of Java, C#, PHP, C , Ruby, Python, and Perl. Development experience with XML, SOAP, REST, and web services is desired. Experience using Amazon Web Services is definitely plus. |
· Excellent communication skills in Mandarine. Fluency in spoken and written English. Exceptional communication skills to interact porfessionnally with external developers and remotely located development teams. |
· Desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment. |
· Track record of managing and troubleshooting technical and business integration projects, and of taking ownership and driving results. |
· Attention to detail, and high capability to work on multiple projects in parallel. |
