PlaNet Finance Group is a leading international non-profit organization with the mission to alleviate poverty through the development of microfinance. PlaNet Finance, which is headquartered in Paris, has over 1,000 staff, a worldwide network of 122 microfinance and banking experts, and is active in about 50 countries. PlaNet Finance’s clients and partners include the International Finance Corporation, the European Union, Citi Foundation, as well as local banks and microfinance institutions.
Since 2003, PlaNet Finance China (PFC) – headquartered in Beijing - has been active in over 20 provinces in China, offering advisory services and technical assistance to microfinance actors. Successful projects in China have included the establishment of MicroCred Nanchong, the first fully foreign-owned microcredit company in Sichuan province, designing a microcredit program in earth***-stricken areas of Sichuan Province for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and conducting an impact assessment of the microfinance component of a livelihood program implemented by Plan International in five townships of Shaanxi Province.
Translator
We are currently seeking a full-time Translator to join our Beijing office. All translation and interpretation will be conducted between English and Chinese. Your main tasks include but are not limited to:
· Translating business development documents, including project proposals, correspondences with existing and potential clients;
· Translating documents of a financially technical nature such as industry reports and project deliverables;
· Serving as interpreter between foreign and local partners and clients in a variety of events ranging from closed-door meetings to nation-wide workshops.
· Aside from translation duties, the translation will also have the opportunity to conduct research and write articles on a variety of microfinance topics including project updates, expert interviews and industry trends. You may also work closely with the communications team and engage in basic website management;

Remuneration commensurate upon experience.
Qualifications:
· University degree in English, Translation or relevant field. Past experience in translation and interpretation work preferred but not required;
· The translators should be highly responsible, motivated, and confident in his/her abilities.
· Native Chinese with advanced skills in English
· Proven ability to make interpretations/translations in English/Chinese in front of large groups;
· Strong presentation skills and public speaking skills are a plus;
· Excellent organizational, communication, writing, proofreading and research skills
· Ability to multi-task
· Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
