However, a knowledge of database management is essential JOB PURPOSE/PRIMARYOBJECTIVE ANS KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES The role of the IT Support candidate is to work with the Managing Director: · Initiate a comprehensive company data management system inclusive of customer data and marketing data management systemand maintenance of the databases · Help and support the marketing support executive in achieving their marketing objectives · Development and management of the company website and undertaking all aspects of thesite management including content uploading/editing, day-to-day site maintenance and managing 3rd party content · Help with the designing of the web content · Liaising with the hosting agent and ensuring minimum down time and access fromanywhere in the world · Continuously improve the search engine optimisation of the company website · To ensure that there is an efficient, secure and reliable company data back-up system · Assisting the work and simplifying it by updating it with computer systems · Proper maintenance of the hardware and software · Identifying and solving the problems that affect computer operating systems · Testing the computers to make sure that computers are working properly · Acting as a trouble shooter and solving the problems and maintaining the servers and desktops · Setting up the computer systems required and updating it · Maintaining the operating systems and installing the antivirus systems · Installationthe required computer applications and programs · Examining the servers and maintaining and updating them · Efficiently maintaining the networking systems · Offer recommendations on upgrades needed in the computer operating system · To enhance communication connecting the computers through Networking (LAN, WAN) · Training staff and helping them to become computer literates. · Placing orders or buying of computer systems after carefully assessing the computer needs in the organization · Carrying out other computer related dutiesif requested by management · Maintaining other computer devices such as printers, scanners etc. · To provide technical support to users for all PC hardware OTHER DUTIES · To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job · Participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development andtraining. · To undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required andwhich are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job · To undertake health and safety duties commensurate with the post ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE · Server management skills · Knowledge of office suites of software (Microsoft, Open Office) · Database knowledge and management skills and the use of Access · Excellent knowledge of web-based content management systems · Familiar with web design skills, including HTML, PHP, MySQL · Good computer hardware and networking skills PERSONAL QUALITIES/ATTRIBUTES · Good team working skills · Goodinterpersonal skills · Good at listening to and following instructions · Willing to contribute to the overall improvement, success of the business, and working practices · A positive attitude, co-operative, willing to comply with company policies and procedures and work constructively · Good at listening to and following instructions · Willing to contribute to the overall improvement, success of the business, and working practices · A positive attitude, co-operative, willing to comply with company policies and procedures and work constructively Please send a cover letter and your detailed resume, indicating current and expected salaries to: Email: (Only shortlisted candidates will be notified) |
