Job description 

You will work on HQ level to deliver Upgrade Services to our global customer base. These services are offered to our end customers via the local Agfa organizations in individual countries or regions.

As an Upgrade Services Engineer, you will upgrade and migrate legacy Agfa PACS (IMPAX) systems of existing customers to the platforms and software versions of the new generation IMPAX systems. While working together with a local project team, you will assume a leading role for all aspects related to the upgrade. Your responsibilities within an upgrade project are to

• analyze the legacy system's configuration
• assist with the validation of the new system architecture and propose alternatives when appropriate
• design and document a technically optimal upgrade path
• assist the project manager with the detailed planning of the upgrade
• engage other expert teams when needed
• implement the technical aspects of the upgrade in the preparation and go-live phase
• provide adequate support in the post-upgrade phase
