Job Description: Business Technology - Consultant -Asia
Overview
In order to support the continuous and strong growth of McKinsey's Business Technology
practice we are currently seeking exceptional business professionals with a passion for
consulting and technology to join the firm in our Asia region which includes our Beijing,
Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo, Sydney, Melbourne, Delhi, Chennai and
Mumbai office.
Detailed Description
McKinsey's Business Technology Practice is a functional practice within McKinsey. It is
comprised of nearly 800 McKinsey consultants globally who help clients think strategically
about how to use technology to create fundamental business change.
Business Technology consultants work on the same types of engagements as anyone else at
McKinsey. On balance, however, we do more technology-related projects than others at the
firm. In addition, our consultants develop particular expertise in technology, whether in a
particular industry or in a functional area.

Desired Skills
- A history of strong academic performance, preferably having attended top tier schools
- 2+ years of professional work experience in technology management or technology
consulting. You may come from a technology company,a technology consulting firm, a
top tier consulting firm with a focus on technologyor a high-performing corporate IT
department with ambition to work on a strategic level and broaden their scope.
- Solid functional knowledge and experience, including but not limited to Digital
Technology, eCommerce, IT strategy consulting, IT Modernization
- Exceptional problem-solving ability. Irrespective of your degree or experience, you should
excel at solving problems that require logical reasoning, creative thinking, comfort with
numbers, and the ability to untangle complex issues.
- Demonstrated leadership within or outside a work setting. You should be someone who
frequently takes initiative and is eager to break new ground-as seen through leadership
roles
- Demonstrated career trajectory - evidence of taking on larger responsibilities and/or more
senior roles
• Other intrinsic skills such as strategic management perspective, strong interpersonal and
communication skills.
- Candidates with fluency in both English and local languages.
