Job description
- Research and development of innovative power electronics systems and components for electrified vehicles in close collaboration with the research center in Renningen, Germany
- Research on new concepts and out of the box approaches in pursuit of business potential and technical breakthrough
- Simulation, prototype build-up, evaluation and test of electric powertrain systems, subsystems and components
- Scouting, identification and tracking of new trends and emerging technologies in China
- Enhance and manage research activities with internal and external partners such as leading Chinese research institutes
Required knowledge, competencies and attributes
- PhD degree related to power electronics which includes brilliant R&D accomplishments or at least 3 years of experience in academic or industrial R&D in power electronics
- Chinese nationals with international experience and experience in automotive applications preferred
- Practical experience and confidence in hardware design, simulation, rapid prototyping and experimental validation
- Good knowledge of the most recent technologies and concepts for circuit design and active and passive components
- Know-how in semiconductor packaging, mechanical design and heat management technologies
- Good knowledge in EMC and/or assembly and interconnection technologies is beneficial
- Initiative and ability to lead research projects
- Efficient, goal-oriented, structured working style, experienced in project work
- Systematic, interconnected way of thinking
- Strong team player
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written)
