General Summary:
The Planning Advisor will play an important role in the Consumer and Small Business segments for China. Under the guidance of the Director, this team member’s key responsibilities include planning the lifecycle offer roadmaps, FGA planning & business case creation, portfolio optimization, forecasting, P&L attainment, omni-channel harmony and campaign development.
Principal Accountabilities:
? Develops and champions assortment vision and strategy, product roadmap and launches in support of corporate goals and objectives
? Owns development of offers that are relevant to the target audience
? Drives the top & bottom line and optimizes all aspects of the portfolio P&L by delivering smart assortment, managing in-stocks, driving continual channel improvements and delivering the best customer experience
? Uses market research, customer feedback/usage insights to inform assortment decisions and enhancements
? Applies deep understanding of customers’ needs, the product and the competitive landscape
? Collaborates with cross-functional team to develop, plan and implement new business development initiatives
? Works closely with marketing to launch products and ensure their adoption and supports content development of marketing collaterals such as training, product catalogues/brochures as subject matter product knowledge specialist
? Coordinates with the product team to manage technology transitions by platform and/or product line
? Applies a thoughtful combination of marketing levers (price, positioning, and promotion) to drive, sell-in and ensure sell-through, enabling smooth inventory transitions and migrating excess supply
? Develops solutions to meet customers’ end-to-end needs and address pain points (S&P, partnerships, services)

? Uses experience, innovation and judgment to make decisions that may be based on partial information

Skills:
? Strong knowledge of the channel business, dynamics and competitive environment
? Good knowledge of marketing fundamentals, sales lifecycle and process management
? Advanced analytical (statistical, competitive analysis and excel ability) and structured problem solving skills to convert insights to strategic actions
? Understanding of P&L and Financial concepts
? Strong time management, attention to detail, and prioritization skills
? Ability to ramp effectively and take ownership during ambiguous and time sensitive situation, and adapt to changing business needs
? Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
? Effective team player and cross-functional contributor with willingness to solve problems; self-directed and motivated and drive for results
? Ability to work independently with virtual teams
? Good English skills (both speaking and writing)
Qualifications:
? 3-5+ years of relevant work experience (merchandising, marketing, product sales, operations or finance) with a good understanding of general business activity flow
? Undergraduate degree
? Prior experience in with technology products is highly desired
? Advanced MSFT Office Skills (Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
? Major in MBA, graduate in 2017.
