Job Description
Job Summary:
- Design and process validation of Li-Ion battery, verification of system requirements
- Validation of battery components (BMS, mechanical components …)
- Design and maintenance of battery test laboratories
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Build up battery testing laboratories according to the requirements of the validation plan – implement safety measures
- Extend and manage an existing network of external test suppliers
- Create test specifications to ensure proper realization of the testing activities
- Coordinate the preparation of test samples (DUT’s) following the test specifications
- Perform electrical, functional thermal and durability tests in Bosch battery testing laboratories
- Supervise the performance of abuse and environment tests in external laboratories
- Analyze the test results in detail (electrical and thermal data but also mechanical observations and measurements). Write test report and communicate test results with other engineering functions
- Participate actively to problem solving and redesign activities in the cross functions engineering team
Qualifications
- Master degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with focus on automotive or aeronautics industries
- Experience in Li-Ion battery related topics
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with international engineering teams
- High level of self-organization and work planning
- Excellent English communication skills
