Purpose and Objective:

We are looking for developers to bring their talents to the SAP P&I Big Data team.

Lead digital transformation with an enterprise data hub.
How to Build a Big Data Hub to drive the digital transformation:
Integrate and orchestrate data within a digital landscape to drive business decisions
Elevate Big Data hub case to next level by fully embracing existing capabilities including SAP solutions for EIM(DS/IS/SDi/ADP …) and SAP HANA Vora
Base it on SAP HANA Platform and run it on SAP HANA Cloud Platform
Open Big Data-centric architecture (Open source integration, cloud deployments, third-party interfaces)
Build massive processing and computing capabilities based on SAP HANA Vora
Embrace innovations such as machine learning
Use predictive or third-party extensions for productive usage ? Build the foundation for the new business data network ? Provide enterprise-ready security and data privacy

Expectations and Tasks:
As associate developer in the SAP P&I Big Data team you will be working with a group of exceptionally talented and motivated colleagues. You will need to:
- Write meticulous software implementations
- can multiply your skills by actively mentoring other resources within the team
- Continually enhance your existing skills and seek new areas for personal development

Education and Qualifications:
- Very good Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields with
- 0 -2 years of professional experience
- A solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structure, algorithms, and software design
- Excellent Java or C++ skill
- Basic knowledge of scripting language (for example in Python, server side Java script, SQL)
- Willingness to take responsibility, drive new developments, and work creatively on challenging and groundbreaking development tasks in accordance with the highest technical standards, plus a high level of commitment, team-spirit, flexibility, and initiative

Preferred skills:
- Knowledge in big data
- Knowledge in cloud scale distributed systems
- Knowledge in database internals and query optimizations
- Knowledge in No SQL databases for processing high volume data
- Knowledge in design patterns and object oriented programming
- Experience in defining APIs on any level, defining web services
- Working knowledge in REST/oData/JSon
