The candidatefor this position will be part of the Wireless Software teams working amongother technical members, interacting with various hardware peer teams tocomplete a full product engineering cycle. This includes research, design,bring up, develop and unit-tests software to productize Wi-Fi silicon,Reference Designs for Wi-Fi Enterprise Access Point, Embedded Clients or otherrelated technologies.

 

The roleincludes participating in latest industrial spec design, write softwarerequirements and design specifications, silicon bring-up, validation,implements, tests and debug to product completion. At early stage of a programthe role includes verifying various Wi-Fi HW blocks before chip tape out basedon the defined spec. Towards the end of product launch, the role includessupport customer integration and troubleshooting issues involving multipledomains.

 

The idealcandidate should possess excellent understanding and working knowledge ofsoftware. Relevant experiences include but are not limited to the following:

- MSEE or MSCS

- Proficient inC programming language; working knowledge of ARM assembly is a plus

- Familiar withembedded RTOS such as ThreadX

- Familiar withARM SOCs bring-up and validation, including built-in networking connectivity IP

- Goodunderstanding of ARM processors, especially Cortex-M3 and A7 is desirable

- Experiencewith various pre-silicon software development or validation with RTL UVM andPalladium is highly desirable

- Experiencewith bring-up of FPGA/Emulation systems is desirable

- Experience inthese domains is a plus: Wi-Fi protocol knowledge, low level silicon bring-up,pre-silicon software development, silicon validation, host interfaces

- Committed toproducing high quality, well designed software

- Team playerand excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills

- Independent,self-motivated and willing to learn
