The Role

The primary responsibility of this position is to teach effective swimming skills and water safety knowledge to our swimming school members via one-to-one or group sessions in English. We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and reliable team players who love teaching swimming and be able to keep children safe in and around the water. We’re interested in hearing from people who share the same passion and value.

You should be extroverted and naturally good with children. You will need fantastic communication skills and provide excellent customer service to ensure our members and their families to gain pleasure and practical skills.

The successful candidates need to demonstrate their abilities to communicate and interact effectively with people that have a variety of ages, capabilities, personalities, and demands.

Job Responsibilities

· Teach or coach swimming via one-to-one or group classes in English

· Plan and lead all sessions as directed by the head coach

· Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of members in the event of emergency

· Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction

· Attend regular coaches’ meetings and trainings

Requirements

· Speak fluent English

· Proficient in two or more swimming strokes (breaststroke/freestyle/butterfly/backstroke)

· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with members and their families

· Friendly, patient, creative and children orientated

· Be willing and able to work under a flexible schedule including evenings or weekends hours

· Can work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

· Native English speaker

· Basic Chinese communication skills (for English speakers)

· English teaching experience with TEFL/TESOL/TESL certificate

· Prior swimming teaching experience
