Position Title: [CORPORATE] Finance Rotation Trainee
Location – City and Country: Shanghai, China

Program Introduction:
The TE Finance Rotation Program is designed to provide Associates with an in-depth experience through project or process responsibilities in various finance functions. The program consists of four 6 month rotations in Business Unit functions such as Financial Planning & Analysis*, Accounting, Manufacturing*, Commercial and Project controlling and also in corporate functions such as Tax, Treasury and Internal Audit.  The aim for the associates will be to have one 6 month rotation within the corporate functions and three within the various TE business units & segments particularly to learn and focus on operational excellence and performance measurement.  At the conclusion of the two year program, associates will be candidates for financial roles across Asia TE.
In the rotation program, the associate will be exposed to different systems such as the SAP, TE data warehouse, Hyperion and other various systems.
In addition, the associate will be exposed to various finance department members, corporate departments and operational and business departments.  The Associate will be given opportunities for training during the program and will have opportunities for exposure to various locations across greater China.
The Finance Rotation Program prepares and develops individuals within financial and general leadership areas and aligns them for future leadership opportunities at TE.

Primary Responsibilities:
FP&A
-Perform various business and market analysis projects to help identify risks and opportunities for the company
-Design and build financial models to assist in the development of business forecasts
-Track and perform variance analysis on actual results compared to forecasts
-Prepare material to be presented to various members of business unit and Corporate senior management
-Be involved in the forecasting and budgeting process
Tax
-Prepare transfer pricing reports for Governmental entities
-Account for net operating losses and valuation allowances
-Maintain the Flash Cash Tax Report
Treasury
-Analyze foreign currency exposure and risk management
-Execute operational FX trades to support liquidity requirements
-Assist in the oversight of various hedge programs and hedging tools
-Engage in special projects and reporting responsibilities in Cash Management Operations
-Execute and report interest rate derivatives
Controlling (manufacturing, supply chain, project, business)
-Consolidate and analyze reporting on a monthly / quarterly basis
-Track and perform variance analysis on actual results compared to forecasts
-Engage in technical accounting projects
-Engage with non-business functions to drive businesses performance improvements
-Perform analysis for investments
-Ad-hoc reporting for the business leadership
Internal Audit
-Assist in developing the scope and planning documentation for future audit    engagements
-Perform walkthroughs and testing of operational areas including manufacturing, procurement and order management
-Conduct interviews with management personnel to map processes, identify risks    and perform control testing
-Prepare reports for presentation to senior management

Competencies & Experience Required/Desired:
-Fluency in English Language;
-Various Internship experience in MNC
-International experience is a plus (internship, studies);
-Flexibility and Mobility within Asia.
-Self-confident and self-motivated individual;
-A keen sense of integrity and positive attitude;
-Highly motivated and proactive attitude towards work.

Educational Required/Desired:
Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant majors with 1-2 years related working experience in Finance and Accounting
