Position Title: [INDUSTRIAL] Field Engineer
Location – City and Country: Shanghai, China

Primary Responsibilities:
-Identify sales and business opportunities with customers within the FE’s region (geographic or industry) to grow the engineering project pipeline in line with the technology roadmap.
-Execute conversion of the engineering pipeline into project wins.
-Identify current and future customer needs, and together with the customer find appropriate solutions for customer applications.
-Drive the design-in and development of new products and / or platforms and manage the seamless and speedy execution of sales and engineering projects.
-Generate, prepare and present TE proposals (product selection, design solutions, product specifications and project objectives) to customers.
-Proactively interface and communicate with the customer and internal TE stakeholders (including Engineering, Product Management) to ensure that all stakeholders understand the requirements and have all needed information available.
-Assess technical complaints from customers and problem solve solutions to these issues.
-Maintain regular contact with customers to manage customer expectations about project timelines, milestones and deliverables. Ensure product samples and supporting design and product verification activities are delivered to customer in agreed timeframes.
-Understand the customer, the market, competition, technology roadmaps and trends and apply this knowledge to customer solutions.
-Close work with core team leader to manage new and existing sales and engineering projects from “demand creation” to “production” phases
-Organize and manage regular customer visits, calls and presentations.
-Provide inputs from customer evaluations and discussions to quality teams to solve quality-related issues with TE products.

Competencies & Experience Required/Desired:
-Good learning capacity.
-Fully acquainted with computers and common software. Knowledge in 3D CAD software tools is a benefit. Fully acquainted with the computer and common application software
-Understanding and ability to solve complex technical solutions.
-Creative, analytical and structured thinking with the ability to execute on priorities.
-Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organizational functions (inside and outside of TE) .
-Project management skills is a plus.
-Strong presentation skills
-Communication skills (Mandarin and English). 
-Ability to work with deadlines and challenging targets.

Educational Required/Desired:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Electronics engineering preferred
