JD:
1. Be responsible to maintain and update product engineering documents, such as Engineering Bill-of-Material (EBOM), product drawings & specifications and Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA) for current production parts, including service parts.
2. Provide product engineering expertise to support supplier resourcing & supplier quality analysis, manufacturing productivity improvement, return material analysis & warranty analysis. Lead on corrective action when the root cause is determined to be a design issue.
3. Lead Cost Improvement Process (CIP) for new cost improvement idea development, ECR approval, validation, customer technical approval and CN release, and support customer quality approval & implementation.
4. Follow Nexteer Procedures and Processes, such as Internal Control (IC) procedures, Change Management (CMII) process.
5. Perform as customer technical liaison to support continues improvement.
6. Evaluate customer’s new requirements for product specification and function.
7. Follow CMII process to execute change assignments on schedule.
8. Support new business pursuit activities.
9. Accept other job responsibilities as required by Supervisor.
10. Maintain safety and good housekeeping.
Requirements:
1.Bachelor degree, major in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Automation, Vehicle Engineering and Mechatronics, etc.
2.Minimum 2 years design and application experience in Automotive Industry, Steering is preferred.
3.Good oral and written communication skills in English; can use clear & fluent English to describe complex tasks or issues, and explain facts, practices, procedures, etc. to others; Able to make simple presentation with English PPT, can understand English information from others and participate in English discussions on various topics;
4.Able to skilfully read blueprints, including a good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T);
5.Able to understand and apply design standards and tools, such as DFMEA;
6. Knowledge of dimensional stack up analysis;
7. Knowledge of Design of Experiments Concept (DOE).
