Position Objective:
Cargill Metals Supply Chain is looking to hire Management Trainee specializing in Quantitative Analytics track.
This traineeship aims at building up a business wide capability that will enable better informed business decision by delivering insights using existing internal and external business information as well as creating processes for new information required. There is immense value in leveraging the insights and data generated from our business activities which is currently under utilized.

? Rotations: You will work on quantitative projects across different teams within the Metals Asia business.
? Enable decision making: You will bring in specialized skills set that enable commercial and trading decisions and help build the capability we need for the future.
? Early career foundation in quantitative analytics in commodity merchandising and trading.
Principal Accountabilities:
? Develop deep understanding of critical data so that it can be used to support fundamental analysis of ferrous markets.
? Work and learn with functional and trading teams to deliver quick analysis and to rapidly build prototype analytical tools to analyze trading opportunities.
? Learn from analyst teams how best to develop new supply/demand models to support trading.
? Learn with Analytics team how to bring connected global macro outlook to the analysis.
? Support Market Risk team in the evaluation of risk/reward in the ferrous metals trading business. This is a great role for learning up-close about the trading of commodities and the use of price risk management techniques.
? Work on business projects to translate summarized business requirements for insights. Prioritise and deliver the fact-based analysis right with data. Facilitate to bring new insights to the business on decision making.
Required Qualifications:
? Good Bachelor/Masters degree with discipline in Econometrics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics and Quantitative/Applied Finance
? Advanced Excel skills, VBA and/or other programming languages, Matlab, SQL
? Excellent quantitative and analytical facility with commercial acumen to provide solutions to business challenges.
? Demonstrate strong interest of commodity/financial markets
? Detail-focused, process-oriented and possess excellent data management ability.
? Able to operate in a complex trading environment and manage conflicting demands.
? Adaptable and well-rounded individual, team-player and able to lead and influence.
? Strong communication skills - written, oral, persuasion. Ability to influence constructively is a key success factor.
