CORI, the Coverage and Investment Banking division of SG CIB, offers a global advisory approach focused on strategic dialogue with clients. Building on long-term relationships based on trust, CORI offers clients the whole range of services offered by SG CIB and the Group, with a focus on investment banking and commercial banking activities.

CORI provides tailor-made solutions to corporates, financial institutions, the public sector and family offices. Building on a comprehensive coverage set-up and investment banking platform, the teams collaborate in a complementary manner to accompany their clients with the utmost expertise.

 The management trainee in CORI Coverage team will work with experienced relationship managers under the leadership of senior banker to cover a portfolio of very large / large local clients. The main responsibility is to:

• assist the team to originate, maintain and deepen the relationship with corporate clients

• work with product lines closely for deal origination and execution

• to support the daily communication with the clients

• to work with relationship manager in the client onboarding process

What career paths in CORI?

• Support banker/RM for account maintenance: to liaise with different functions and product line which would help the graduate to build up an overall view of the bank and coverage function.

• Junior RM with a limited portfolio to build up credentials and experience

• Senior RM with bigger portfolio and strategic names of the bank

• Banker as single contributor or lead a team

Who are we looking for?

• Fresh graduates (bachelor or master’s degree holders) or young graduates with less than 2 years’ work experience;

• Committed to develop a long-term career in the banking industry;

• Being innovative, responsible and result-oriented;

• Excellent analytical ability, quick learner and able to work under pressure;

• Possessing competent skills in the aspect of team leadership, teamwork, problem solving, interpersonal and communication;

• Proficient in English and Chinese both orally and in written;

• Basic understanding of the key elements of financial statement;

• Willing to be relocated to different cities in China;

• Major in Finance or Economics would be preferred;
