The primary function is to supervise the planning and execution of drilling, completion and workover activities on COPC's contracted rigs or company owned platform rigs.
Accountabilities and End Results:
Through the supervision of dedicated drilling engineers, completion engineers and drilling supervisors, ensure all drilling, completion and workover operations on assigned assets are implemented meeting all HSE, budget, technical and schedule objectives.
Primary Functions:
> Take active leadership with the implementation of current initiatives to ensure HSE targets are met.
> Work with production, project and well team leaders to develop integrated drilling schedule
> Responsible for all Drilling & Completions interface issues with the Project group.
> Review and sign off cost estimates and well plans to ensure they are accurate and meet COPC's standards, similarly ensure that operations are implemented meeting all COPC's standards.
> Work with Supply Chain group ensuring all services are correctly contracted and assist in the effective management of these contracts.
> Develop goals for direct reports and assist in their career development following COPC's personnel performance management process.
> Capture lessons learnt and ensure best practices are shared with other ConocoPhillips operations.
> Benchmarking current performance and providing direction and initiatives to drive improvements.
> Continue to remain up to date with emerging technology which could benefit COPC's drilling and completions operations.

Technical Criteria:
> Drilling and Completion engineering and operations
> Workover and cased hole perations (coiled tubing, e-line, slickline).
> Previous operational supervision is a benefit
Leadership Criteria:
> Must be able to lead effectively a multi-disciplinary team. This position requires close interaction with reservoir, production and completion engineers, geologists, service company personnel, and across other team boundaries.
> Creative, yet results oriented. Must be able to focus on customer needs to develop and implement well plan.
> Good technical and business judgment.
> Takes initiative to identify new opportunities and tackle challenging issues. Must plan, organize and implement operations efficiently.
> Strong communication / presentation skills are required. Communicating technical requirements within well teams, field teams, and vendors/service companies.
> Makes regular offshore trips to take active leadership in HSE and operational matters
Reporting Relationships:
Reports directly to the Drilling and Completions Manager and is a member of the Drilling and Completions Leadership Team.
Other Information:
Engineering Degree required Deputise for Drilling Manager during his absence as requested. Become familiar with Emergency Response plans and cover weekend duty as required.
